Scheduling (Delay & Disruption) Experts

Construction Scheduling and Project Controls are needed. Subject projects include:

  • Stormwater, Water and Sewer Systems
  • Roadways and Pavements for Streets, Highways, Airports, and Industrial facilities.
  • Geotechnical Issues
  • Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing defects in buildings
  • Structural and Geotechnical problems with Bridges and Marine Structures.

SFE works throughout the US to evaluate causation and damages in claims relating to construction defects and delays. The firm has staff in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Indiana, Missouri, West Virginia, Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington. There are several great teams to be part of, or you can work principally from your current location.

Responsibilities

Evaluation of contract documents, plans and specifications, construction and quality control activities, existing conditions to determine schedule impacts and disruption and delays in construction. Work includes field visits, review of documents, preparation of reports, and when necessary, depositions and testimony at trial.

Qualifications

  • General Contractors license or Cost Estimating Professional (CEP) certification.
  • Degree in an Engineering or Construction related field.
  • 20+ years of combined academic/professional experience in Cost Estimating for Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Expert testimony in depositions and in court is required, so excellent written and verbal communication is critical.

Pay Structure

This is a part-time role which may transition to full-time.

Contractors are paid an hourly rate, up to $200/hr, based on their qualifications and the nature of the work required.
