Dr. Nierow has broad and diversified expertise in weather systems, research, and interagency collaboration. Currently, he supports Structural Forensic Experts as a senior meteorologist. He previously served as a forensic meteorologist for WeatherExtreme, where he worked on legal cases involving weather phenomena. He has also collaborated with Booz Allen Hamilton’s International Aviation Team as a subject matter expert (SME) in weather, assisting both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Weather Service (NWS) on key weather programs. For more than a decade, Dr. Nierow was Assistant Chief Meteorologist and System Engineer for the FAA, where he played a pivotal role in developing research requirements and proposing enhancements for current and future FAA weather systems. With more than 25 years of experience as a program manager in weather training and research for the NWS, his extensive background spans system engineering, weather research, and collaboration with diverse government and nongovernment entities. Dr. Nierow honed his forecasting skills as a meteorologist at the NWS Washington Office.
