SFE works throughout the US to evaluate causation and damages in claims relating to construction defects and delays. The firm has staff in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, and West Virginia. Responsibilities
Evaluation of contract documents, plans and specifications, construction and quality control activities, and existing conditions to determine schedule impacts and disruption and delays in construction. Work includes field visits, review of documents, preparation of reports, and when necessary, depositions and testimony at trial.
Qualifications
General Contractors license or Cost Estimating Professional (CEP) certification.
Degree in an engineering or construction-related field.
20+ years of combined academic/professional experience in cost estimating for residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and/or infrastructure projects.
As expert testimony in depositions and in court is required, excellent written and verbal communication is critical.
Pay Structure
This is a part-time role which may transition to full-time.
Contractors are paid an hourly rate, up to $200/hr, based on their qualifications and the nature of the work required.
