Project Description
Nasdaq wanted to increase their public presence so the design goal was to create a new $20 million broadcasting facility and electronic stock exchange located in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. At Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture & Engineering, Matthew Barhydt was Project Manager and co-Project Architect. The facility includes a ground floor broadcast studio; broadcasting booths overlooking the studio; offices; conference rooms and support spaces. (The large, curved LED sign above the facility was a separate project for which Einhorn Yaffee Prescott provided only minor coordination services.) Responsibilities included engineering and technology design coordination; day-to-day client contact; internal architectural team management; consultants’ coordination; fee management; construction administration; marketing and publicity writing. The project won the “Entertainment Project” award from Interiors Magazine in 2000.
