Liberty Island Retail Pavilion

The design of the pavilion faced many challenges due to harsh weather and short construction windows.  But the most challenging aspect was self-imposed.

The owner made the bold decision to strive for a LEED Platinum rating, which would be the first for the National Park System.  By putting planet before profit, the concessionaire and owner, Evelyn, Hill, Inc, made a lasting contribution to a historic site.
